Timewaster:
Shuffle. Very simple, and it will eat your productivity for lunch.
Weekend 7.20-22
Miller has been Simpsonized! (UPDATE: we've gotten some concern that
he's not bald enough. See the picture right next to this one for a
comparison. Should we re-do it? Email
morningmix@mix97fm.com and
let us know.)
Posting will be a little light over the next day or so...we're dealing
with some hosting weirdness. Nothing a judiciously applied ball-peen
hammer can't fix.
www.walkscore.com
looks pretty neat - it grades your neighborhood based on how easy it is
to walk to local schools, stores, libraries, restaurants, day-care
centers and so forth.
Many thanks again to all the Morning Mix listeners who offered their
confessions for our latest What Were We Thinkin' Friday the 13th, and
so, for you, here's Milli Vanilli:
Thursday 7.12
Today's entry for WHAT WERE WE THINKIN': the immortal Terence
Trent D'arby's "Wishing Well". Which we actually like:
Wednesday 7.11
Ye
gods, we nearly forgot - Friday is the 13th, and that means another
installation of WHAT WERE WE THINKIN'? That's where you, our
amazingly devoted listeners, confess to us your musical guilty pleasures
of days gone by. SOMEBODY bought all those copies of I'm Too Sexy
and You Light Up My Life and all those New Kids on the Block
albums and so forth. And it was you. No sense trying to evade it,
really. Email your confessions to
morningmix@mix97fm.com, or
call them in to the Morning Mix while we're on the air. We'll kick it
off with Mr. J's confession: T'Pau. Yep, there's super-cheesy
big-haired 80's video to go with it:
And
yes, we'll post the videos of the songs we use on Friday, so you can
fully wallow in your poor musical choices of days gone by.
If your kid is really having trouble landing work this summer, there's a
rich couple who needs somebody to
de-louse their daughter. Ew. Just...ew. Still, it's 30 bucks an hour
And
now, in what may be the worst segue ever, here's that grilled-PB-&-J recipe from Miller:
Ingredients:
1 standard PB&J sandwich...use whatever you usually use
A bit of grapeseed oil to keep the grill lubricated
Instructions:
Grill on medium heat for approx. 5 minutes on the side with the peanut
butter on it...a little less on the jelly side. Experiment with the
grilling time as needed.
Eat, but make sure to avoid jelly burns.
Voted best cartoon ever: "What's Opera, Doc?"
Weekend 7.6-8
Here's our latest winning 5 Question Quiz answers, and once again
congratulations to Corinne from Pine Bush, who got all five correct!
